Last night I learned of ADVRider.com, which not only has a robust forum for adventure riders but some beautiful pics. I saved a few of my favs and added a little bit of what I hope is thought-provoking text.
I’ve long toyed with the idea of taking an extended jaunt to places not too accessible, especially now that I have a Honda XR650L*, so it’s inspiring to see how nonplussed some are by supposed boundaries. Instead of sitting idly or day-dreaming the individuals pictured chose to push themselves and their gear to the limits. Rather than just exist, they’re living.
*It’s definitely more plausible on my Honda than my previous bike – a BMW K1200RS – which was definitely solid in many areas, but my Honda is more my style – no glitz, just stripped-down and functional.
