Bo, appreciate you taking the time to share your thoughts. I agree with pretty much everything you communicated, especially:

"Also had he only pulled you over because of the plates, he would have been able to see if they were valid upon walking up, then the only thing he should have done from there is let who was driving know he was just checking the plates, they were fine and have a nice day comment."

That was a point our lawyers made repeatedly but it was glossed-over in legal land (aka court).

Also, good point re: the reprucssions of ordering numerous individuals out of the vehicle who were at times out of sight of the person who kept referencing "officer safety" for his rights-violating actions. Lots of misinformation and omissions to cover unaccountability.

Another thing that floored me that's not included in the write-up above was when, during the closing of Adam's trial, Wayne Thompson (who levied the charges) said something like, "My grandma would have said that these boys were just up to no good."

I couldn't believe such a nonsensical statement was made and likely given credence by those in the jury. Thompson wasn't stating that Adam had hurt anyone or even violated man-made legislation, but active sought to communicate doubt about his innocence. And this, after all our exchanges with Thompson had been civil.

I just saw the video of your problems in Ms, with the two gangsters posing as law enforcement officers. Boys I want to apologize for what the criminal justice system did to y'all, it was clear to this Texas police officer with 26 years of experience that it was mistreatment at every stage of the proceedings, from the bullshit arrests to the prosecution. I hate to say this, but my experience with some of the people that they hire to be police nowadays, shows that the powers to be have lowered the bar when it comes to hiring, and have been doing that for at least the last 10 years. Recently I had to stop a boot cop with less than a year on,, who tried to write one old man walking in front of a closed school with a protest sign over something, on a sidewalk that averages 1 person on it per hour, a misd. citation for blocking a right of way. Had I not pulled up when I did and threatened to bury my boot in his barney badass ass if he didn't leave the old guy alone, the old guy would have probably been put through the same crap you boys went through, and that has to stop. Let me give you a critique from an experienced law enforcement over these "officers"excuses of officer safety issues with the cameras during the traffic stop. Now, if the reason you were stopped was because of a temp. plate, you are correct in your assumption of a fishing expedition, and I would bet my pension, being in the part of country you boys got stopped in, that deputy atkins was racially profiling y'all. As Meth is the, to put it bluntly, white boys drug. There is no way he saw what kind of tag's you had on your RV being parked on the median like you described he was, but what he could see was a young muscular white male driving a high dollar RV, that A. could be carrying a ton of meth., which would make his promotion to an undercover Det. assured, B. only old retired people and white outlaw bikers transporting Meth. drive RV's, and C. he's a K9 cop, not a traffic cop, only time you have a K9 cop out on the highway is when they are doing drug interdiction's, and have the dog out there to sniff out hidden drugs, and even if he didn't have his dog that day, the drug interdiction would be an assignment he would have just being in the K9 unit.(more than likely dumbass drove off to work late and forget the dog)
Think back to the stop, had he really been stopping you for your plates, he would have turned his overhead lights on right away, and caught straight up to you, but instead you say he catches up to y'all without his lights, shadowed y'all for a bit, then turned on his lights. That tells me he saw, in his mind, the white outlaw biker, pulled onto the highway, then made his way up behind y'all, then followed behind for a little while till he could find something to stop you for, and your paper plates was the PC(probable cause) he was looking for, as he could always testify with a straight face that he couldn't read the handwritten expiration date on those plates. Also had he only pulled you over because of the plates, he would have been able to see if they were valid upon walking up, then the only thing he should have done from there is let who was driving know he was just checking the plates, they were fine and have a nice day, but no the first thing he does is pull the driver out, now lets go over that. He states he pulled the driver out for his safety, OK I'll give him that, he has him go to the back of the RV, and positions your buddy between the RV and him, after that the deputy's tactics are horrible, and he should be thanking all that's holy that y'all were not what he had hoped to find, as he probably would have never made it home that night.
He leaves the relatively safe position he was in, with y'alls buddy blocking any bullet that might come from the RV towards him, turns his back to him, so he can yell at you through the window to turn your camera off and come outside., after you step out, and y'all are waiting for your friend so he can, for some strange reason, outnumber his own self.??? He goes from one against one, if things go wrong to now three against one?? ? then gives you the i'm doing this for your safety and mine line( that is a standard line that was even taught to me 26 years ago,to say in case you ever needed to cuff someone, yet not arrest them) Then gives you the excuse because of "all the moving going on inside I didn't know if y'all were grabbing anything or anything or anything like that for"?(whatever that means, I don't have a Jones County Sheriffs office decoder ring, so I don't have a clue). Now he's got two of ya by the side door, and actually, one of y'all actually helped him out tactically by shutting the door, but now we are going on 3 minutes that the driver has been out of he's sight and control, yet he's not worried for his "officers safety"? He then places one of y'all at the front of the RV, but never frisks him for a weapon, then he has you go to the back of his patrol veh., and with it being an SUV with tinted windows, its very easy for you to disappear from his view , which happens too, and since he never frisked you, again where is his "officer Safety" reasoning at? I'll tell you this, since I have found this video, I'm going to try and find some software which will allow me to draw lines, circles and such, on the video, pointing out all the things this deputy did wrong. I know this is real shitty over what happened to y'all, but maybe you can look at it this way, that of the good cops that are out there, and there's still a few of us, your video will be used as a training video, and who knows, maybe your video will be the reason a good cop isn't killed because he learned what not to do, by watching Deputy Bubba, I mean Atkins. What did he say when your buddy jason, wearing the long shorts with the gazillion pockets on it was ordered by him to the front," I don't want y'all to stay up inside there"? Nah, instead of having just the driver to deal with, with you other two packed away inside an RV where he can keep his eye on it, he would rather have all three of y'all outside, with y'all separated on both sides of him. At one point he was talking to the driver, and had no sight of your friend at the front, or of you behind his Tahoe filming. So had y'all been bad guys, there were so many times during that stop where he would have died it's scary to watch. Maybe y'all could help out police dept's and offer them copies of this traffic stop, so they can teach cadets what not to do tactically. Then the second Deputy, the one with the anger control issues, comes straight up to you, tells you to turn off the video, you reply I'm not gonna do that, and he replies with "then you're going to jail, and the next thing I see is a big hand covering the lens, and sounds of a scuffle. I can tell you first deputy got his buddy, 2nd deputy, to go to an open channel, while he was inside his tahoe writing a citation, and was talking shit about you guys refusing to quit filming, and I know 2nd deputy told first deputy, he was gonna show you just who the fuck was in charge when he got there, and it sure as hell was not gonna be you, so your fate was sealed the minute you didn't obey his first godly order to stop filming him. Now I will tell you, 2nd deputy had no legal authority to arrest you, from what I saw, you had committed no crime. Also the 2nd deputy violated your civil rights with the manner in which he arrested you, and that's not even taking in account that he had no lawful reason to submit you to a custodial arrest, and this bullshit term "distraction-ary device(sorry, but that is not a real English word). It sounds like since they both used a form of that word, someone coached them into saying that.
As a Law enforcement officer, we are expected to follow a procedure called a continuum of force, which is a fancy way of saying using only the amount of force necessary to effect an arrest. Which means it starts from mere presence to command voice and all the way up to deadly force. Now it doesn't mean you have to go through all the different levels of force first to be able to shoot someone pointing a gun at you, but 2nd deputy never advised you, you were under arrest, nor gave you the opportunity to comply with his orders of arrest, he just grabbed you and used excessive force in placing cuffs on you.
Now did deputy atkins really say:“I didn’t know if he had a gun disguised as a camera"?. Man, how you were able to stop yourself from saying because you were not shot multiple times, is commendable on your part.
Oh one thing buddy, just FYI, we are not required to read someone the Miranda warning just because they are arrested. It's usually a good thing to do, especially if you have a felony arrest, it keeps the mistake about one officer assuming another officer read someone their rights, and he gets him to say something incriminating, and it gets thrown out. As long as an officer doesn't question you over a crime, arrested or not he's not required to read you your rights, but if he does ask you any questions, then he better read you your rights, because anything said by you would not be admissible in court.
Your friend Jason, that one really shocks me, never have I heard of a passenger in an RV being arrested for not showing a drivers lic..
Just saw your video of you finding your RV torn apart, and the video deleted, and I am ashamed someone wearing a badge would do those things. Those "deputy's" are no different then the thugs roaming the streets at night, preying on people, no I'm sorry they're worse, at least the thugs don't disguise themselves as the good guys. You should have turned a bill into the county for the damages. They intentionally damaged your veh., if they had a drug dog in there, they would not have had to take apart anything inside your RV, the dog search's with its noise not its eyes, so it would not have to see what was under you seat cushions, and if it hit on everyone of the items they tore up, the dog needs to be retrained.
Saw your trial again, with all the "officer safety issues" testimony. Saw both deputy's commit perjury with impunity. How could dep. atkins say he didn't know if your camera was "a weapon, or any kind of deadly device"? If that was the case why did he specifically ask you to stop filming him, I know it's not something you should have known, but when he said that in wake of the video they thought they had deleted, you should have asked the judge that his testimony be impeached, live and learn.Anyway the first deputy was just stupid is as stupid does, but Deputy Abraham McKenzie is dangerous being out on the streets, and like I said if you have no problem with me trying to get y'all s video entered into our academy as a training video as what not to do tactically on a traffic stop involving an RV with multiple people in it, I will make sure they will be the laughing stock of everyone that see's it.
I'm gonna sign off now, gonna go debate my 21 yr old Ron Paul supporter son, before I call it a night. I'm sorry about the length of this message, but this really got my blood boiling. I'm in the process of putting a website dedicated to officers willing to put the constitution before their job, with pledges requiring that an officer pledges to not follow any order that violates the constitution, if you are interested let me know. Also feel free to send me any questions you might have in what you can and cannot get away with some cops, and anything you may have wanted to ask an officer but didn't think you would get an answer, and I'll do my best to answer it with an officers perspective. Its the least I can do, after the way you guys were treated by so called "peers".

Your friend Jason, that one really shocks me, never have I heard of a passenger in an RV being arrested for not showing a drivers lic..
Just saw your video of you finding your RV torn apart, and the video deleted, and I am ashamed someone wearing a badge would do those things. Those “deputy’s” are no different then the thugs roaming the streets at night, preying on people, no I’m sorry they’re worse, at least the thugs don’t disguise themselves as the good guys. You should have turned a bill into the county for the damages. They intentionally damaged your veh., if they had a drug dog in there, they would not have had to take apart anything inside your RV, the dog search’s with its noise not its eyes, so it would not have to see what was under you seat cushions, and if it hit on everyone of the items they tore up, the dog needs to be retrained.
Saw your trial again, with all the “officer safety issues” testimony. Saw both deputy’s commit perjury with impunity. How could dep. atkins say he didn’t know if your camera was “a weapon, or any kind of deadly device”? If that was the case why did he specifically ask you to stop filming him, I know it’s not something you should have known, but when he said that in wake of the video they thought they had deleted, you should have asked the judge that his testimony be impeached, live and learn.Anyway the first deputy was just stupid is as stupid does, but Deputy Abraham McKenzie is dangerous being out on the streets, and like I said if you have no problem with me trying to get y’all s video entered into our academy as a training video as what not to do tactically on a traffic stop involving an RV with multiple people in it, I will make sure they will be the laughing stock of everyone that see’s it.
I’m gonna sign off now, gonna go debate my 21 yr old Ron Paul supporter son, before I call it a night. I’m sorry about the length of this message, but this really got my blood boiling. I’m in the process of putting a website dedicated to officers willing to put the constitution before their job, with pledges requiring that an officer pledges to not follow any order that violates the constitution, if you are interested let me know. Also feel free to send me any questions you might have in what you can and cannot get away with some cops, and anything you may have wanted to ask an officer but didn’t think you would get an answer, and I’ll do my best to answer it with an officers perspective. Its the least I can do, after the way you guys were treated by so called “peers”.

I too have taken issue with some of All Shall Perish's lyrical content. While I appreciate them bringing socio-economic issues to the fore, considering how important they are in today's world, their perspective seems limited and their philosophy immature. Perhaps with some guidance they can evolve and embrace the consistent and moral philosophy that is libertarianism :-) If you ever get around to writing that message to them, I'd be really interested to check it out and see their response as well. I wanted to talk to Eddie, their singer, when my band opened up for them last week but I decided to avoid any topics that could become long and drawn-out (there was a lot of stuff going on that night! oh well, there will be more chances in the future)

Jim, thanks for the questions.

MARV weighs-in around 13,500-lbs.

I don't intend to keep the sponsorship graphics. MARV is being raffled as-is.

You don't need to have a special license to own/operate MARV. Usually that's contingent on if the vehicle has air brakes, which MARV does not.

And actually, though I was a bit intimidated the first time behind the wheel (my first time ever driving a RV) it's pretty easy. Before long I was really confident in its operation. Once you're comfortable with the width (which is easy as you have a really wide-open view) the only thing to keep in mind is the length (which, other than parking, is really is only a factor when turning due to the eight feet or so of vehicle behind the rear wheels).

If you were to win MARV and there's a delay due to arbitrary hoops I'm sure we could figure something out.

What is the Gross Vehicle weight of MARV, and do you intend to keep the sponsorship decals? Also, under PA law I can'r own MARV until I have a license to drive an RV ( the GVW tells me if I have to get a class A or B license should I win) So I may be unable to accept delivery, or Pick him up until after the licensing is done, is there an issue with this delay? (it could be upwards of 6-8 weeks). thanks
