KEENE, NH – Almost five months ago Jason Talley and I – as equal owners of the Mobile Authority Resistance Vehicle (MARV) – decided to put the 2000 Four Winds Hurricane up for sale. We had paid about $16k from our own pockets last year, and, not being the richest dudes, hoped to recoup some of that money to then allocate to future independent projects.
Two weeks ago a transaction involving MARV happened and I’m happy to say that the vehicle will remain in the hands of an activist – mine!
Jason (who’s now involved with the Civil Disobedience Evolution Fund and Fr33 Agents) and I reached an agreement and the ‘rolling billboard for liberty’ became my property. Now MARV, along with me and Adam Mueller, are in New Hampshire, where we’ll be for the next couple of months.
After traveling all those miles with the Motorhome Diaries and interacting with so many great individuals and now being here, I can honestly say that I don’t regret hyping up Keene, the ‘shire and the Free State Project for one second. I’m optimistic after hearing about so many different projects blossoming in this hotbed of pro-freedom activists. We’ve been here less than five days and we’ve already done a ton, including taking some time for some MARV TLC and brainstorming our own future project.
While we’re in the area we’re hoping to get as involved as we can. “So” – I thought, “Why not utilize MARV?”
Last week Adam announced over on forums at FreeKeene.com that we’re looking to roll up to PorcFest with a solid crew. After having conversations with some interested folks the ironed out schedule will have us:
- leaving Keene’s Central Square on Wed. June 23rd at 11:30am (sharp!)
- stopping at the Manchester Airport at 1pm (cheap flights via Southwest!)
- arriving at Rogers Campground in Lancaster, NH for PorcFest at 3:15/3:30pm
- leaving Rogers Campground on Sun. June 27th at noon (sharp!)
- stopping at the Manchester Airport at 2:30pm
- arriving at Keene Central Square at 4pm (in time for the 420 Rally and Social Sundays which informally start around 5pm a few blocks away)
I’ve been asking folks to chip-in to help cover gas to the tune of $20 one-way or $35 round-trip – an amount that’s feasible since we’ve been driving MARV a little slower to stretch our limited bucks. I’m also open to considering other consensual interactions.
A lot of folks have expressed interest and a few have confirmed. Let me know if you have any questions that may move you from the former to the latter.
And if you’re outside of NH check out the rideshares map and either offer to cart folks to PorcFest or hitch a ride.

Hey we saw MARV last night in the parkinglot of Chilis in Manchvegas. It caught my husbands attention and inspired us to do some research on who you are and what you are about. We dig it!! We of course had to get a picture of the ark and Marv together.

@Lisa thanks for sharing! So cool y’all took the time to both take/post the pics. Looking forward to connecting with y’all at PorcFest!
[...] As you may recall, four months back we put our RV MARV up for sale, but in the end I ended up buying Jason out of his half. [...]
